Meet CSA Spotlight, Jim Everson

Jim EversonI have always enjoyed being around seniors; hearing their stories, learning from their experiences and gaining their wisdom. Growing up in Martins Ferry Ohio, a small town in Eastern Ohio on the Ohio River, community was important to me and very tightly knit. Having relationships with the elder community was part of what I learned, not only from being raised with a Christian worldview, but also because they were my neighbors.

Being a Boy Scout and attaining my goal of reaching the Eagle Scout ranking taught me goal setting skills, how to serve others and instilled in me to reach higher than I would normally aim for. I earned a degree in Chemistry from Westminster College in Pennsylvania and with the desire to make a difference, I became a Pharmaceutical Representative in Columbus Ohio and marketed many different product lines. After several years selling pharmaceuticals, other opportunities came my way. I changed to Medical and Surgical sales, selling different products for interventional heart procedures, heart and vascular surgeries. Having been a Medical Representative for over 23 years, I have formed many valuable relationships with physicians and hospitals throughout Ohio. While all of this was very rewarding and enabled me to indirectly help patients, I longed for personal relationships with people and being able to help them with some area of expertise.

My wife Bethany and I opened a CarePatrol business in 2012, an option that would allow us to help others and to work together as a team. Bethany has worked as a Physical Therapist in the homecare field and knows the challenges families face with caring for their senior loved ones. CarePatrol has allowed me to continue fulfilling my desire to help my senior friends by making sure they find the safest and best senior living options. Traditionally families used to care for their elderly loved ones in their own home and they all would live under one roof, allowing their loved ones to age in place until the end of their life. Today’s busy lifestyles have changed this option as many times both adults work outside of the home and cannot care for their elderly loved one successfully.

Understanding the challenges families face while seeking senior care solutions is key to determining the safest and best choices for your loved ones. My wife and I walk families through the process of choosing safe options for Assisted living, Independent Living and Memory Care communities, as well as other senior related services. Earning my CSA designation has given me the knowledge to confidently work with families and their loved ones during the very difficult time of needing more help with living needs.

We work closely with Senior Communities, In-Home providers, hospitals, physicians, rehabilitation facilities, financial planners, elder law attorneys, churches and the Department of Veterans Affairs in the greater Columbus Ohio area to present the safest senior living and care options for families.

My wife and I have 4 busy children ages 7-13 years old. I enjoy cars, motorcycles, hunting and spending time with my family. We live in Powell, Ohio in a great neighborhood where we are still trying to make a difference in the community.

“Together we are impacting the Seniors of Central Ohio by passionately directing them to the Safest and Best Living Options according to their needs”.

Jim, Bethany and their team look forward to helping their client find solutions to their various senior living needs. Both are natives to Ohio and are committed to advising you with the best and safest senior care options for seniors in Central Ohio. Please contact CarePatrol of Columbus to schedule a complimentary care discovery and allow us to assist you during this challenging process.
